We take a road trip to F.H. Steinbart Company, the oldest and longest continually operating homebrew shop in the U.S, to reflect on 100 years of homebrewing and brew up a special commemorative collaboration beer. We also join the Portland homebrewing community in mourning the loss of store owner John DeBenedetti, who passed away on April 29, 2021. We hope this episode helps to preserve John’s legacy in the canon of homebrew and craft beer pioneers.
